It’s not good til’ you have “haters”
Just a quick thought.
Anything truly great is polarizing. I think that’s because great things (great thoughts, great songs, great art and great artists) generate a buzz, and people will discuss and become passionate about the stuff that buzzes.
If everybody “likes” your stuff (songs, art, artists), or even worse – if your stuff doesn’t even inspire or warrant an opinion, it’s probably not gonna make a real difference. Don’t give people a reason to become dispassionate about what you do.
Do something great, and bring on the haters!

Yes, I like this a lot.
Maybe it also brings about a sense of jealousy from others because they wish they would have accomplished what you did. Instead of getting behind it they get caught on themselves.
